The story of four girls in an outlaw scout troop, each with their own vivid personalities, combining misadventures with activism over the course of one summer. I LOVE how real and funny the story is, tackling numerous social issues without losing track of the characters and their quirks. An amazing book for MG fans of any age.--Kevin
A late-night food run for a hungry theater crew turns very weird when three teens discover a creepy taco place they never noticed before, and then...well, I can't do it justice. There are tentacle-monsters, nanoassembler bees, fleshy Hyundais, plus great humor and twists piling up on each other with alarming frequency. This is Hale at his best, but not the one you'd expect from Hazardous Tales.--Kevin
An excellent, engrossing work of historical fiction that transports the reader into Nazi-occupied France during World War II. The course of events and struggle for survival of a young Jewish girl and those who help her are vividly portrayed in both the text and illustrations. Strongly recommended for readers of all ages. -- Sharon
